Privacy

Your name, your email address and the newsletters you choose. That is what we need to build your issue and send it to you.

Alongside those we keep a few details about your signup: when you confirmed your email address, whether it passed our check for automated signups, and, if you arrived through a link that carried one, a short tag saying which link it was.

If you subscribe, we also keep the reference numbers Stripe gives your subscription, whether it is active, and when it next renews.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what it does with them.

To build your issue, email it to you, send you the links that confirm your address or sign you in, and run your subscription. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

A few companies run parts of Postpile for us and handle your information only to do that: Stripe for payments, Supabase for our database, Resend to send email, Vercel to host this site, Railway to run the service that builds issues, and Cloudflare for the check that keeps automated signups out.

Vercel also counts visits to this site for us. It does that without cookies and without identifying you.

We set a cookie only to keep you signed in, for example while you manage your subscription. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Subscribers can change their newsletters anytime from Manage subscription. For anything else, including a copy of what we hold or a request to delete it, write to hello@postpile.io.

A few records we keep even after a deletion request: a note that an address has had its free issue, so it is not sent twice, and the payment records Stripe and the law require.

If we change this page, we will post the new version here and change the date at the top.
